GCCG(II) Intro
Where you are
Ahhh yes. Here you are, looking to see what the talk of the Masoverse is eh? Well here is where you'll get familiar with what the infamous GCCG is (along with the history).
In the Beginning...
A long, long time ago. In a Metaverse far, far away. The GCCG(I) was born. This was back in the old days, when there was a Metaverse! Me, being sick and tired of being at the bottom of the Meta ladder decided to find a alternative to how the system worked. Thus the GCCG(I) was born. Originally called the GCCG, which stood for Galactic Civilizations Cranking Guide (now you see why I used the acronym!) My alternative was to prove that one could win with quantity over quality. As I surveyed the Meta, I found that the only top people were the ones who won the toughest of games. I tried to play a few just to see if I could do it, but I could never muster the skill (or patience) to do it. Then I thought... Well there MUST be a different way! I had thought, why not try to overwhelm the top players by submitting a hundered easy games? That led to me 'cranking' out my games. As many as I could, as fast as possible. In fact, I was able to finish a game in 15 minutes flat! The GCCG(I) proved very effective at doing that and from it I made it to #2. I could've been #1, but the GCCG(I) was shot down.
Ascension of the GCCG
I became a martyr, along with the long forgotten Staffa. For weeks I tried to fight my case with the GCCG(I). See, the only problem with the GCCG(I) was that for those that wern't aware of it, the submitted game under the GCCG(I) playing style produced a anomalous score due to very high cash reserves. Well once the developers were aware of my 'exploit' they set out to tear it down. They were successful in being able to change the system, yet not successful in changing me. The GCCG(I) recieved a tremendous amount of support and respect. After the GCCG(I) became ineffective the Metaverse transformed into the Masoverse. The Maso, is where you can only get to the top at playing only Masochistic difficulty games in GalCiv. When it all went to hell, there was a demand for a new GCCG. People have already been using the old GCCG(I) to format their Maso games. Yet there hasn't been any real info. or study into it, and there was always inefficiency. Well now here I am. Doing what YOU guys wanted me to do. To write you a new guide. Well here you are in the midst of the construction of it. I will elaborate on what the GCCG(II) will be...
The GCCG(II)
The GCCG(II) won't be able to let you guys crank out the 15 minute games (however if you want me to write a GCCG(II) for easy levels I will when I get the time). The purpose of the GCCG(II) is to be able to play Maso difficulty games as fast and efficiently as possible. Now I am horrible at maso, so you can only speculate that this guide is gonna take forever. It won't! It'll take a while though, and I'm going to be getting some help on this. A good part of it, after I get the hang of maso, is going to be my extensive research into making it a 'crankable' version. I'm sure I can churn out a efficient version but then it wouldn't be the GCCG(II) now would it? It's still going to be cranking. Yes, CRANKING...C-R-A-N-K-I-N-G! Like I said, no 15 minutes, but it's going to be researched and tested well enough to be as fast as possible. Now the quantity over quality concept will slightly fade out here, however, it's going to be the fastest Maso game possible despite the decrease in points. Therefore, you will be able to churn out the low-high point maso games as fast as possible.
